Two wanted cocaine dealers have been jailed following a police operation targeting drug supply in Doncaster.
Tom Muscroft, 27, was arrested after armed officers raided a caravan site and founded a “significant haul” of class A drugs.
He was charged with three counts of possession with intent to supply cocaine and a charge of assaulting a constable for kicking out at an officer while in custody.
Less than 48 hours after Muscroft’s arrest, wanted man Arran Jeffrey, 24, was arrested in a North Yorkshire hotel room and charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply cocaine.
A search of the room led to officers recovering more Class A drugs, snappy bags and other drug paraphernalia.
Muscroft, of Church Way, Wheatley, pleaded guilty to all offences and was jailed for four years at Sheffield Crown Court on Tuesday.
Appearing on the same day, Jeffrey, of no fixed abode, was jailed for two-and-a-half years after also pleading guilty.
Isaac Greaves, 25, of South Street, Highfields, who was arrested alongside Jeffrey, pleaded not guilty to one count of possession with intent to supply cocaine and is due to sand trial on 9 March.
Det Con Hollie Robinson said: “Muscroft and Jeffrey showed a complete disregard for the law and tried desperately to evade our officers and justice.
“Drug networks profit from people’s addictions and vulnerabilities and spread fear and harm to our communities which we will not tolerate.
“We will continue disrupting drug supply lines and bringing those who think they are above the law before the courts and to justice, and I would encourage anyone with concerns about drug supply in their area to please report it to us.”
