Harrogate went nearly four months and 20 league matches without a win between 6 October and 3 February, taking just four points and leaving them five points adrift of safety.
But a home win over Cambridge United, a draw at Chesterfield, and the victory at Barrow have closed the gap to safety to just two points.
“We had that really long [winless] run, which we didn’t want. But it’s happened, but we are coming out on the right side,” Taylor said. “Luckily, we still have the amount of games left to make a difference.
“We’ve still got 13 or 14 games left, so it is over to us now to show that we should stay in the league.”
Taylor’s return has coincided with Harrogate’s change of fortunes.
“Twelve weeks out has been tough watching the lads. You feel helpless that you can’t do anything to help, but now I am back in I feel like I am getting there. The goal brings me confidence.”
