Police are investigating after a man’s body was pulled from the River Aire in Leeds city centre.
Officers were called at around 16:50 BST on Thursday to reports of the man in the water near Crown Point Bridge. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The area around the bridge was closed while West Yorkshire Police investigated. It has since reopened.
The force added that the cause of the man’s death was “unexplained” and Leeds CID was carrying out inquiries.
