“It was schoolboy stuff.
“We came here to play the game we wanted to play and were doing it in the first half, winning the battle for field position, but then we don’t make kicks, kick it out on the full – schoolboy.
“It’s not a step backwards. We played physically, our effort areas were great but when you have to defend that much in a game, things are going to happen.”

“It was much needed. We needed a response after last week [against Wigan].
“It was back to our DNA, showing up for each other, energy in defence, being nice and patient, playing how we played and taking the chances when they came.
“Castleford is a difficult place to come. We had to play from minute one to 80 and we showed loads of heart and spirit.
“We got the monkey off our back every time you have a loss. Hopefully, everyone can relax and we can start to build.”
