An American who has the logo of Sheffield’s Tramlines music festival tattooed on his wrist says the event is “just a really special time”.
Chad Hefty has come over for the festival several times since befriending a man from the city in New York about a decade ago.
The 46-year-old, from Charlotte, North Carolina, says the tattoo is “something little, but it’s significant to me”, adding: “It may be a little bit drastic or crazy in a way, but it’s special.”
He and Mark Morgan, 40, from the Crosspool area of Sheffield, got talking in Times Square and became firm friends.
