The driver of a Lamborghini which hit speeds of more than 140mph (230km/h) on a motorway has been found guilty of causing the death of her friend in a crash.
Humaira Batool, from Bradford, was driving the hired Urus model supercar before it struck a barrier on the M62 and set alight, killing her 20-year-old friend Mohammed Shaan Hussain.
During a trial at Leeds Crown Court, jurors were told the Lamborghini was driven by Batool “at grossly excessive speeds of up to 143mph in wet conditions” on the motorway near Ripponden, West Yorkshire, in the early hours of 21 December 2022.
The 26-year-old was found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving and will be sentenced on 2 November.
