A burst water main which flooded several streets in York has caused “significant damage” to the road surface, according to Yorkshire Water.
Salisbury Terrace remains closed while the 21in (53cm) diameter pipe and road surface are repaired following the incident on Sunday.
Yokshire Water said people could still access the road via Lincoln Street and temporary access to Balfour Street, which also flooded on Sunday night, had been set up via Swinerton Avenue.
A spokesperson for the firm said: “We’re working to get everything back to normal as soon as possible.”
